Pair Chinese Han Dynasty Pottery Glaze Hu Jar , 100 AD (Z982)
pair of truly magnificent ancient Chinese hu wine jars with lid , covered in a green glaze . The lid design gives the appearance of a closed lotus flower. Decorated with incised bands , this is another museum piece. It dates to the Han dynasty, circa 2,000 years ago. Note the original spur marks to the base where it was originally stacked in the kiln for firing.
