Masterpiece Chinese Yuan Blue White Porcelain Jar (Y574)
This is a wonderful blue and white ginger jar with Phoenix from the Yuan Dynasty in China. This is from Yunnan Province in south western China. The unglazed part of the lid inscribed with red Sanskrit-type characters . Jar decorated in underglaze cobalt - blue with a continuous chrysanthemum scroll and phoenix . Porcelain body covered with a transparent glaze. Base unglazed.
