Chinese Northern Qi Paint Pottery Bactrian Camel (DA014)
A magnificent rare ancient painted pottery two-humped Bactrian camel with saddle bags, modeled on a rectangular plinth, & dating to China's Northern Qi Dynasty, circa 1,500 years old. Traces of the original black, red, and white painted designs are still visible. It has been superbly molded with intricate detail applied to the face & and the large saddle bags & accessories draped over its back between the humps.
